When using light-alloy drill pipes (LAIDP) with steel tool joints, the development of contact corrosion is observed under certain operating conditions. The value mainly depends on difference in electrochemical potential (ECP) contacting metals. One effective methods for increasing resistance aluminum alloys micro-arc oxidation (MAO) method. This an process combination micro-arc-discharges phenomena at anode-electrolyte border, which allows forming ceramic coatings oxides surface, including its high-toughness and wear-resistant phase - α-Al 2 O 3 (corundum). MAO-technology a highly efficient environmentally friendly process. At such coating threaded part joint zone pipe, barrier between surface pipe created. In this work, samples pair 1953T1 alloy 40KhN2MA 5% NaCl solution 80 °C was investigated. data obtained showed effectiveness protective MAO-coating to reduce increase reliability connection LAIDP.
